Skidmore Earns Division II Ping All-Midwest Region Honors

NORMAN, Okla. - Saginaw Valley State University senior golfer Micah Skidmore has been selected to the 2015 Division II Ping All-Midwest Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

It's the third All-Midwest Region honor for Skidmore, who earned the plaudits in the 2012 and 2014 seasons as well.  He posted a 74.29 stroke average for the 2014-15 season, leading the Cardinals while playing as the #1 golfer for the majority of the campaign.  That single season average ranks him fourth all-time in program history, right behind his #3 mark of 74.24 he had in the 2012 season.

Skidmore posted six top-10 finishes this past season, including a top-five finish as well.  Micah posted his low round of 70 (-2) three different times this season, the most recent coming at the NCAA Regional #4 Tournament.  Skidmore finished in a tie for ninth place at the 2015 NCAA Division II Midwest / Central Super Regional Tournament, carding a five-over, three day score of 221.

Micah posted a career stroke average of 74.94 in his 92.5 rounds played for Saginaw Valley State, which puts him at number one in terms of SVSU men's golf student-athletes who had four-year careers for the Cardinals.
