UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University men's golfer Evan Klein (Guelph, Ontario, Bishop Macdonell HS) was named the GLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week after placing second in the Midwest/Central Region Preview.

Klein shot led the Cardinals, shooting 209 (-4) over three rounds to finish second out of 108 golfers. He recorded rounds of 72 (+1), 66 (-5), and 71 (E) with 12 birdies and an eagle. Klein's second-round 66 was the lowest round of the tournament.

This is Klein's first GLIAC Golfer of the Week award of his career and the first for SVSU men's golf this season.

Cardinal men's golf is back in action on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29 at the Midwest Collegiate hosted by Missouri-St. Louis.
