Biography
2009-10: Appeared in seven contests for SVSU, playing 3.4 minutes per game while scoring six points and adding two steals.
2008-09: Appeared in 21 games for Saginaw Valley...scored 67 points for a 3.2 average...connected on 14-of-19 free-throws...pulled down 40 rebounds, 15 offensive and 25 defensive...tallied four assists, blocked one shot and had 12 steals for the Cardinals...led the team with a .473 field goal percentage.
Prior to SVSU/Personal: Played four years at Pinckney High School in Pinckney, Mich. under coach Paul Bristol, played seven years of AAU basketball and summer ball from 2002-2007. In her senior year, she was varsity team captain, Ann Arbor News Athlete of the Day, Daily Press & Argus Athlete of the Day, All-KVC Academic, all-county first team, Top-20 leading scorers, Ann Arbor News, All-KVC Second Team, all-area honorable mention. As a junior, she was named varsity team captain, Athlete of the Day Daily Press & Argus (Owosso), Ann Arbor News Athlete of the Day (twice), All-KVC Academic..majoring in Exercise Science with a career goal of becoming a physical therapist…daughter of Joan Ellen Gisner Hughes and Patrick Hughes...born 5-29-90.
