2025 Saginaw Valley State Basketball Louis O'Neal Classic

The 12th annual O’Neal Classic tips off at Saginaw Valley State University with an exciting two-day slate of high school basketball action showcasing some of Michigan’s top programs.
Friday, December 19 features three marquee matchups: Haslett vs. Bridgeport (4:00 p.m.), West Bloomfield vs. East Kentwood (5:30 p.m.), and Lansing Catholic vs. Saginaw Nouvel (7:00 p.m.). The action continues on Saturday, December 20, with Ann Arbor Avondale taking on Freeland at 5:00 p.m., followed by the host team’s game at 7:00 p.m.
Fans purchasing a ticket to the Classic will receive admission to all Classic games, as well as the SVSU Men’s Basketball showdown against Northwood on November 20 — making it one of the best values in local hoops.
First-year SVSU head coach Chris Fowler shared his excitement about the event:
“The O’Neal Classic is all about bringing our basketball community together. It’s a celebration of talent, competition, and the love of the game — and we’re proud to host it here at SVSU.”
