UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Men's Basketball Program at SVSU is proud to acknowledge the induction of two legendary members of its program into the Cardinal Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

"Coach Bob Pratt took a fledgling program and built it into both a consistent winner on the court, but also a consistent winner off the court with great young men who represented SVSU in a very positive way," SVSU Head Coach Randy Baruth said.

Pratt is the winningest coach in program history while coaching nine All-Americans during his 24 seasons. In addition, half of SVSU's top 10 all-time leading scorers were coached by Pratt, including Dale Brown, who finished as the No. 1 career leader in points in 1978, and now still ranks fifth.

"Dale was one of the top players to ever wear an SVSU uniform," Baruth said. "We are really excited to celebrate Dale, his teammates, and all SVSU Men's Basketball alumni."

SVSU's Hall of Fame Banquet is set for Friday, Oct. 20. The Men's Basketball Program will host an alumni social immediately following the banquet. On Saturday, Oct. 21, the public is invited to the SVSU Men's Basketball annual Red/White Scrimmage; admission to the 10 a.m. game is free of charge.

"It is going to be a great weekend for all former and current SVSU Men's basketball players as we celebrate these two legendary men," Baruth said.
