UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Saginaw Valley State University Track & Field and Cross Country programs are set to release their All-Decade Team when the new year hits. We will be releasing the top performances for each year every day until January 1 when the All-Decade Team is announced.
Sixth on our list for 2015 and the top performance of that season for the Cardinals is Taylor Stepanski. Stepanski, who is a native of Alpena, Michigan and was a distance runner for SVSU, earned six All-American honors during her track & field career. Taylor was named the Female Ryder Athlete of the Year for the 2014-15 season as well. She has seven program records overall that still stand.
Top Performance of 2015 - Taylor Stepanski
Taylor Stepanski earned a pair of All-American finishes during the Indoor season. Taylor led the the women's DMR relay to a 3rd place finish, followed by her runner-up finish in the 800m. Her 800m (2:07.64) and DMR (11:31.53) school records still stand.
