USTFCCCA Announces Track and Field All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2026 NCAA Division II All-Academic team and individual awards. Both the Cardinal men's and women's track and field teams earned the overall team all-academic award. The men finished with a combined team GPA of 3.17 and the women accumulated a GPA of 3.36.
For a team to receive the All-Academic Team award, the GPA of each student-athlete on the institution's squad list for indoor and/or outdoor track and field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
In addition to the team awards, 10 SVSU men and nine women were listed on the all-academic athletes list.

Matthew Gazzarato, Bryce Husen, Sawyer Moloy, and Jacob Walker earned their second-consecutive USTFCCCA All-Academic honor. Jack Lobodzinski was listed for the third-straight season to lead the Cardinal men.

Taylor Moyer was on the list for the second time after receiving the honor last season. Karissa Picard earned her third-straight award this season to lead the women's team honorees.

To make it on the athlete list, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, completed 24 semester hours through the end of the semester of competition, and earned an automatic or provisional qualifying mark in either the indoor or outdoor season.
