UNIVERSITY CENTER -- SVSU Men's Basketball head coach Randy Baruth has announced the signing of Myles Belyeu to the program. The 6-2 guard from Trotwood-Madison High School in Ohio will join the team for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Belyeu participated in both basketball and football during his prep career. He was a three-year team captain in basketball, where he was a two-time all-conference honoree and was named the league's player of the year in his senior campaign. Belyeu was named all-state honorable mention his junior season and led the team to the state championships game in his senior season. He was the District 15 Player of the Year and All-Area Player of the Year as well in his final year. He is Trotwood's all-time leading scorer.

I've been blessed enough to be influenced by many coaches and players while being supported by family and friends. There have been a lot of sacrifices made by everyone and I'm excited to say my work will pay off."

He's an easy kid to sell as a head coach. I'm just so happy that he's turning the page for the next chapter, although I'm a little sad that our chapter has ended."

We felt it was a great fit because he will bring size, athleticism, strength, and versatility to our guard position.
