UNIVERSITY CENTER -- The Saginaw Valley State University Men's Basketball team will host its second annual Alumni Weekend, which is set to take place the weekend of January 26-27, 2018 in conjunction with the Cardinals GLIAC matchup versus Northwood University.
The Cardinals will welcome back SVSU Alumni for a social on Friday (Jan. 26) night at the SpringHill Suites. They will then get to watch SVSU's shootaround on Saturday morning and an Alumni Game will follow in SVSU's James E. O'Neill Jr. Arena.
Later that afternoon, Saginaw Valley will honor the 1982-83 GLIAC Championship Team and all other Cardinal alumni at halftime of the team's game versus Northwood University. The 82-83 squad went 24-8 overall and claimed the league title with a 13-3 mark in the GLIAC and competed in the NAIA District Tournament as well.
