BAY CITY, Mich. — Saginaw Valley State sophomore goalkeeper Connor Keane (Manchester, England / Loretta HS) earned his second GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after previously winning in week one.
Keane had a stellar performance in this weekends victories over Davenport and Ashand on the road. Stopping all four shots from the Panther offense, Keane helped the Cardinals to a 2-0 victory Friday evening.
On Sunday, the Eagles were only able to post a single shot on goal in the 90 minutes of play and Keane was quick to stop it from entering the goal. He now moves to 12-2-1 on the season and leads the GLIAC with a 0.66 goals-against average heading into Friday afternoon's match.
The Cardinals will take on Northwood on senior day, Oct. 27 at 2:30 p.m., for the GLIAC regular season title.
