BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University sophomore sprinter Ce'Aira Richardson has been selected as the GLIAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week after her performance in the 400 meters at the SVSU Classic.

Richardson had a standout performance at the SVSU Classic, hosted on Saturday afternoon. Richardson notched a provisional time in the 400 meters with her mark of 57.00 seconds, claiming a first place finish. She has the second-best time in the GLIAC with that performance and the 13th overall in NCAA Division II. 

The Cardinals return to the track on Friday (Jan. 20), as they host the Doug Hansen Open. Events are slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. in the SVSU Fieldhouse.
