UNIVERSITY CENTER - The SVSU men's soccer team has been chosen by the head coaches of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to win the 2016 championship in the league's annual coaches' poll.

The Cardinals garnered five of the eight possible first-place votes and 61 points, seven clear of runner-up Northwood, which received three first-place nods and 54 points. Tiffin holds down the no. 3 slot, getting 50 points and a single first-place vote to round-out the top-three.
