BAY CITY, Mich. - SVSU junior forward and GLIAC leading scorer, Emily Wendling, has been named the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. Wendling posted three double-doubles in leading the Lady Cardinals to victories over Hillsdale, Lake Superior State and Northwood, keeping SVSU tied atop the GLIAC North Division Standings with a league record of 13-4 to go along with its overall record of 16-6.

Wendling helped lead SVSU to a 3-0 week and remain atop the GLIAC North Division standings in wins over Hillsdale, Lake Superior State and Northwood. She posted three double-doubles over the stretch, averaging 17.7 ppg and 13.7 rpg in the victories. She posted a career-high in rebounds with 17 Thursday night at LSSU. Wendling leads the GLIAC in scoring with 18.9 ppg and field goal percentage at 56.8%. She ranks fourth with a 9.8 rpg average. 

Saginaw Valley's start through 22 games is the best since the 1998-99 campaign and the team's 13 league victories are the most since that same season.
