BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University senior track & field student-athlete Taylor Stepanski has been named the GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Female Track Athlete of the Week after her NCAA Championships automatic qualifying time in the 800 meter run.

Stepanski posted the third-best time so far this year in the nation and top mark in the GLIAC, crossing the line with a mark of 2:09.62 at the SVSU-hosted "Jet's Pizza" Invitational over the weekend. The 2015 indoor national runner-up in the 800 set a new SVSU Fieldhouse record in the process as well. 

The Cardinals return to the oval as they host the SVSU vs. Northwood Dual meet, set for Friday (Feb. 5) at 5:00 p.m.
