LILBURN, Ga. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team is currently ranked No. 23 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Top-25 Poll. After the first 3-0 start to a season since the 2003-04 season, the Cardinals will carry momentum from a huge regional victory Saturday (Nov. 19) at Ursuline College into a weekend tournament played at UC-San Diego.
Saginaw Valley, one of three GLIAC schools to appear in the latest rankings, will face-off against host UC-San Diego on Friday night before playing Cal State San Marcos on Saturday. UC-San Diego dropped out of this recent poll after being ranked No. 17 in the WBCA Preseason rankings.
