KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team is now ranked sixth in the first official National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II National Poll.

The Cardinals jumped up 12 spots from their preseason ranking of 18th following a 2-0 weekend with regional victories over Lewis University (3-0) on Friday and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside (4-1) on Sunday.

SVSU continues play this upcoming Friday (Sep. 11) in its GLIAC-opening match of the 2015 season at Northwood University. The match is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. in Midland, Michigan.
