KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In its preparation for the upcoming 2015 college soccer season, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has released its national preseason rankings for NCAA Division II men's teams. The Saginaw Valley State University men appear in the 18th slot of the year's edition.
SVSU posted another sensational season in 2014, one that featured the Cardinals advancing to the NCAA Division II Round of 16 for the second time in three years. SVSU finished with an overall record of 14-5-2, falling to national semifinalist participant Quincy in the third round. The Cards got off to their best start in program history, going unbeaten in the first 12 matches (10-0-2).
SVSU opens up play for the 2015 regular season September 4th on the road against Lewis University at 8:30 pm before continuing on to play at Wisconsin-Parkside September 6th in a 3:30 pm matchup. Both times are eastern.
