View Photos from the 2015 Summer Canada Trip
The Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball team is currently on a summer preseason trip to Canada. The Cardinals will play a lineup of four games on the trip, featuring Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) opponents.
As the trip progresses, we will have student-athletes from the team who will be documenting their experiences through text, pictures and video to give a first hand look at the experience. Stay tuned to this page for all updates regarding the team's trip.
2015 Canada Trip Schedule
Monday, August 10th. | SVSU 88, at Humber College 68 | Humber College Recap
- The Cardinals opened their trip with a 20-point victory over the reigning CCAA National Champions. Four SVSU players notched double-digits in scoring, led by C.J. Turnage with 15. Jon Marosi netted 12 points while Wade Gelhaus and Devin Dixon added 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

Tuesday, August 11th | SVSU 88, at Sheridan 73
- SVSU made it two straight with a 15-point win over Sheridan. Turnage led the way once more, notching 20 points in the victory. Garrett Hall added 19 points while Dixon had 10 points and newcomer Mike Wells chipped-in with 10 points for the Cardinals.

Thursday, August 13th | SVSU 105, at York 65
- SVSU made it three for three after a 105-65 victory over York University. Dixon led the way with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. Five other Cardinals registered double figures in scoring, as Turnage (12), Hall (11), Damon Bozeman (11), Wells (10) and Baenziger (10) all registered at least 10 points.

- SVSU finished off the sweep of its Canada trip after the victory. Hall led the Cardinals with 17 points while Turnage and Bozeman each added 16. Baenziger chipped-in with 13 points for the visitors as well.
