UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation during halftime of the men's basketball game against Grand Valley State on Thursday (Feb. 19) night at O'Neill Arena.

The committee will be running a paper airplane competition to help reach the goal of raising $2,000 for the foundation this year.  The current fundraising total for the year is $1,116.  

Students and fans will have the opportunity to purchase one piece of paper for one dollar or three pieces of paper for two dollars.  They will then make their paper airplane to be thrown at halftime for a chance to win awesome prizes.  All proceeds from this fundraising event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Tip-off for the men's game will be approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game, which begins at 6:00 pm.
