Saginaw Valley State University senior men's soccer student-athlete Craig Neal was recently selected to the CoSIDA CapitalOne Academic All-District Team for the 2014 season.

Neal, who carries a 3.88 cumulative GPA as a Criminal Justice major, has had a breakout senior campaign for the 12-3-2 Cardinals.  Being named to the All-District First Team, Neal is now eligible for Academic All-American honors.

He has a team-high seven goals and a GLIAC-leading seven assists as well, leading the team with 21 total points.  The 21 points rank him third in the league for the 2014 season.  Neal has four game-winning goals this season for the Cardinals.

Saginaw Valley continues on to postseason play, as it enters the 2014 GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament as the #4 seed and will face #1 Tiffin in a 1:00 pm match on Friday afternoon.
