BAY CITY - Saginaw Valley State University sophomore forward C.J. Turnage has been selected as the Week One GLIAC North Division "Player of the Week" after leading the Cardinals to a 1-1 record at home in part of the 2014 GLIAC/GLVC Challenge.

Turnage had 17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals in the team's 87-81 victory over St. Joseph's on Friday night before turning in a 15 point, seven rebound, two assist and two steal performance in an 81-71 loss to #16 Bellarmine Saturday night.  He posted a 58.3 field goal percentage in the games as well.

The Cardinals return to the floor Thursday (11/20), as SVSU hosts the Lewis University Flyers, currently ranked #17 in the national polls.
