MIDLAND - The Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis team fell in the second round of the 2014 GLIAC Women's Tennis Tournament to the Ferris State University Bulldogs, 5-1.
The Cardinals trailed 2-1 after doubles play, picking up a victory at #2 doubles as Izabella Ismailova and Danielle Slonac posted an 8-0 sweep over their opponents.
Ferris would post three victories in singles, however, and closed out the match for the victory. Meghan Woody put up a battle at #3 singles, losing in three sets.
SVSU continues play against Ohio Dominican on Sunday at 8:15 am in the tournament's 7th place match at the Midland Community Tennis Center.
