UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting a basketball clinic as part as the Catholic Federal Credit Union Community Youth Days.  The clinic will take place this Saturday (10/4) from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm on the campus of SVSU.  All participants and parents are invited to stay after for free admission to the football game against Northern Michigan, which starts at 7:00 pm at Wickes Stadium.

Kids will have the opportunity to interact with members from both the men's and women's basketball teams as well as the coaches.  All participants will receive a free t-shirt, with the first 100 participants receiving a free bicycle helmet.  They will also be entered for a chance to win a prize.  Prizes include two bicycles and a family package of ski/snowboard helmets.

Saginaw Valley has hosted two Community Youth Day events this year, with each event having over 100 participants.  This is a great opportunity for kids to learn from and interact with the student-athletes.  Last year, the basketball clinic hosted 167 kids.

There is no pre-registration required for this event, only on-site registration which begins 45 minutes before the clinic starts.  Participants will be required to complete the Participant Consent and Waiver of Liability Form prior to participation.   This event is free and open to all boys and girls who are in grades K-8.

* Cardinal Kids Club members will have the opportunity to walk-out and be introduced with the men's soccer team during their match on Sunday (10/5) with Lake Erie.  The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 pm at Braddock Field.  Members will have the opportunity to participate in halftime on-field promotions as well as receive $1.00 pop and popcorn.  Click here to learn more about the Cardinals Kids Club or to join.
