BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State
University baseball player Carson Beauchaine
has been selected as the GLIAC "Pitcher of the Week", it was
announced by the league office.
Beauchaine, a freshman from Fraser, Mich., notched his
first-career shutout in a 1-0 victory over the visiting Ashland
University Eagles on Wednesday, Apr. 21. Beauchaine tossed
all seven innings, surrendering only two hits, while walking one
and striking-out five batters. He currently sits fifth in the
GLIAC with an ERA of 3.79, which also leads the Cardinal pitching
staff.
