YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team fell in an exhibition match-up at Eastern Michigan University by a score of 84-60 on Friday night (10/29).
The Cardinals trailed by a 38-24 score at the break. The Eagles would also out-score SVSU in the second half, posting a 46-36 advantage to close-out the contest with an 84-60 victory.
Sophomore center Grace Herzog (Linden, Mich./Powers Catholic HS) had 11 points, five rebounds and three blocks on the night. Fellow sophomore Jasmine Kennedy (Harper Woods, Mich./Grosse Pointe North HS) had a team-high 12 points on the night, including connecting on 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Sophomore transfer Cheritee Green (Wyoming Park, Mich.) had a good night on the boards for SVSU, pulling-in a game-high 11 rebounds in the contest.
The Cardinals continue the exhibition portion of their schedule on Thursday (11/4), as they travel to East Lansing to take-on the Michigan State Spartans. Tip-off for that contest is set for 7:00 pm.
