BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University senior men's track & field athlete Charlie Richards (Goodrich, Mich.) has been named the GLIAC Men's Track "Athlete of the Week", it was announced by the league office.

Richards was the only Cardinal to claim a first place finish in the Bob Eubanks Open, hosted by GVSU on Friday, Jan. 22.  Charlie ran to an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 1:53.11 in the 800-meter run to lead the men's squad.
