Biography
2008-09: Was a member of the first place4x400-meter relay team two times, once at the SVSU Collegiate Openwith a time of 3:25.02 and once at the Collegiate Open IndoorClassic with a time of 3:27.64…also took first place at theGVSU Invitational in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:54.52 andat the Division II Team Challenge with a time of1:53.66…finished first place overall in the distance medleyat the GLIAC Indoor Championship with a time of 10:06.23, breakingthe previous Ryder Arena Record…placed second in the800-meter run at GVSU’s Bob Eubanks Open and in the4x400-meter relay at SVSU’s Holiday Open with a time of3:27.40 and third in the mile with a time of 4:25.93…tooksecond place overall at the GLIAC Outdoor Championship in the800-meter run with a time of 1:53.61 and fifth in the 4x400-meterrelay…was a member of the fifth place 4x400-meter relay teamat the Division II Team Challenge…also took fifth in the400-meter dash with a final time of 51.24 seconds at the CollegiateOpen Indoor Classic and in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.77at the GLIAC Indoor Championship…took seventh place overallat MSU’s Spartan Invitational in the 1,500-meter run with atime of 4:04.75…participated in the 800-meter run at thenational meet and placed thirteenth overall with a time of 1:52.59.
2007-08: Redshirted.
2006-07: Placed first in the 60 meter hurdlesat the SVSU Indoor Collegiate (8.58)... finished second in the 600meters at the Jack Skoog Open with a time of 1:22.78... part of1600 meter relay who finished third at the Indoor GLIACChampionships... took first in the 400 meter hurdles at theNorthwood Open (54.91)... placed second in the 800 meters at theSVSU Outdoor Collegiate (1:56.92)... finished third in the 400meter hurdles at the Outdoor GLIAC Championships (54.04).
2005-06: Qualified for the USATF Junior OutdoorNationals in the 400 meter hurdles... won the 400 meter hurdles atthe Windsor Open with a time of 53.97... took fourth at the GLIACOutdoor Championships in the 400 meter hurdles.
Prior to SVSU/Personal: Prepped at GoodrichHigh School... set school record in the 100 meter hurdles, 800meter relay and 1600 meter relay teams... majoring in EnglishSecond Language... son of Kirk Richards... born 06-28-87.
