BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State
University sophomore outside hitter Annie Buxton
(Aurora, Ont. Canada / Aurora SS) has been chosen as the GLIAC
Volleyball North Division "Player of the Week" it was announced by
the league office.
Buxton led the Cardinals to a 3-0 week, with road victories over
Lake Superior State University, Tiffin University, and Ashland
University. Buxton posted 33 kills for the week with only seven
attack errors while hitting at a .347 clip in the victories. To go
along with the offense, Annie also recorded 30 digs in the three
matches to go along with two blocks. She also had a service ace in
both the Tiffin and Ashland matches.
