Cardinals Burned by Dragons

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State women's basketball team couldn't feel the love on Valentine's Day as the Cardinals fell to Tiffin University, 73-55, today (Feb. 14).

Freshman guard Marah Kyle (Bluffton, Ind.) led SVSU on offense with 17 points, while sophomore forward Brittany Burkhardt (West Bloomfield, Mich.) dropped in 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds, including five off the offensive glass.

The loss drops the Cardinals record to 2-21 overall and 1-17 in the GLIAC, while Tiffin improves to 7-16 and 6-12 in the GLIAC. SVSU will return to the hardwood on Thursday (Feb. 19) as the travel to Big Rapids, Mich. to take on Ferris State, before heading to Allentown, Mich. to face rival Grand Valley State on Feb. 21.
