HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley
State women's basketball team lost tonight (Jan. 22) to No.
10-ranked Michigan Tech, 91-43.
The Cardinals were led by sophomore guard Kelley Wesp (Cincinnati,
Ohio) who had eight points, freshman guard Marah Kyle (Bluffton,
Ind.) and senior guard Tricia Everett (Saginaw, Mich.) each knocked
down six points. SVSU shot just 31.5 percent from the field on the
night.
The loss drops the Cardinals to 2-14 overall and 1-10 in the
GLIAC, while Michigan Tech moves to 14-2 overall and remain
undefeated at 11-0 in the GLIAC. SVSU will return to action at 11
a.m. Saturday to take on Northern Michigan in GLIAC action.
