UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University volleyball team dominated against GLIAC foe Lake Superior State University today (Sept. 16). The Cardinals got off to a slow start in game one, but found their stride to put the Lakers away 25-20. In the second and third games, the Cardinals gained their composure, and beat the Lakers handily by 25-15 and 25-17.

Freshman Annie Buxton (Aurora, Ont./ Aurora SS) led the way for the Cardinals with eight kills on offense while Senior Sarah Redoute (Clinton Twp., Mich. / L'Anse Creuse HS) and Junior Jaclyn Carnago (St. Clair, Mich. / St. Clair HS) had seven kills and four block assists each.

With the victory, the Cardinals move to 10-1 overall, and 2-1 in the GLIAC, and will host Tiffin University at 7 p.m. Friday in Cardinal Gym.
