MARQUETTE, Mich. - The Lady Cardinals volleyball team got back on the winning track against Northern Michigan this afternoon (Sept. 13) 3-1 by scores of 25-23, 25-18, 22-25 and 25-15.

SVSU was lead by redshirt freshman Annie Buxton (Aurora Ont./Aurora SS) who had 15 kills, four digs and one block. Sophomore Jessica Treiber (Unionville, Mich./Sebewaing) had 12 kills and 2 blocks and Jaclyn Carnago (St. Clair, Mich.)chipped in with 11 kills. Senior lebaro Carmen Schacher (Flint, Mich./Kearsley) had 30 digs in the winning effort.

With the win the Cardinals move to 9-1 (1-1 GLIAC) on the season and Norther Michigan falls to 6-5 (1-1 GLIAC). The Cardinals will return to action on Tuesday (Sept. 16) when they host Lake Superior State University in their home opener at 7:00 pm.
