HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University Volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season against Michigan Tech 3-1 by scores of 19-25, 25-27, 25-17 and 25-19.

The Cardinals we lead by Allison Schlinkert (Marysville, Mich.) who had 16 kills, 14 digs and two aces. Teammate Sarah Redoute had nine kills and nine digs and Jessica Treiber (Unionville, Mich./Unionville-Sebewaing)had eight kills and three digs.

SVSU falls to 8-1 (0-1 GLIAC) on the season while Michigan Tech moves to 6-3 (1-0 GLIAC). The Cardinals will travel to Marquette to play Northern Michigan on Saturday (Sept. 13).
