ASHLAND, Ohio - The Saginaw Valley State
women's basketball team lost to Ashland University today
(Dec. 20), 70-44, and extended their losing streak to seven
games
The Cardinals were led by sophomore forward Brittany Burkhardt
(West Bloomfield, Mich.) who scored 17 points and grabbed six
rebounds. Freshman forward Marah Kyle (Bluffton, Ind.) knocked down
seven points, while senior guard Tricia Everett (Saginaw, Mich.)
chipped in with six points.
SVSU shot 25.8 percent from the field and went 9-for-13 from the
free throw line.
The loss drops the Cardinals record to 1-8 overall, and 0-5 in the
GLIAC, while Ashland, the #2 ranked team in the GLIAC South,
improves to 8-1 overall, and 4-1 in the GLIAC.
