DETROIT, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State
University women's basketball team lost to Detroit Mercy in
its second exhibition game of the year today (Nov. 9) 81-54.
Cardinal freshman forward Marah Kyle (Bluffton, Ind./Bluffton HS)
led SVSU with 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field and had
three steals, while sophomore guard Kelley Wesp (Cincinnati,
Ohio/Glen Este HS)kicked in 11 points and senior guard Tricia
Everett (Saginaw, Mich./Swan Valley HS) contributed 10 points.
The Cardinals fall to 0-2 in exhibition action, and will return to
action in the Quincy University Tournament on Nov. 15-16 in Quincy,
Ill.
