UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley
State University men's and women's basketball team will
participate in a basketball clinic host at the YMCA in Saginaw at
6:30 p.m. Dec. 11.
Deadline for the registration is Dec. 6. For those who sign up
before the deadline, they will automatically be entered into a
prize drawing for a Specialized YMCA Character Trait Ball.
Registration is $41 for facility members, and $51 for limited
program members.
The clinic is available for children 3 years old -
fifth-graders.
"This clinic will serve as a fun and instructional way for
children to learn basketball skills to last a lifetime," said SVSU
Director of Athletics Mike Watson. "Maybe more importantly, the
clinic will teach them life lessons like team-work and
self-esteem."
Parent orientation for the clinic is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec.
4, as well as a "Meet the Coaches" night on Dec. 13, where parents
and children who are signed up for the clinic can chat with
SVSU's men's and women's basketball coaching
staff.
