Kevin Schwedler is in his fourth season of coaching first base,directing the strength and conditioning program for the Cardinalsand coordinating the SVSU defensive unit.

A 2004 graduate of Bullock Creek High School, Schwedler was athree sport athlete playing baseball, basketball andfootball.  A two time all state baseball player, Schwedler ledthe Lancers to the 2001 and 2004 Baseball State finals.

Following his high school career, Schwedler played for SaginawValley from 2004-2009.  Playing second base, he appeared in131 games starting 110 of them. He batted .282 with 1 home run anda .928 fielding percentage.  Schwedler was a member of a 34-14Cardinal team that appeared in the 2007 NCAA RegionalTournament.  During his career, he was a three time all GLIACacademic team member.

Schwedler graduated from SVSU in 2009 with a Bachelors degree inExercise Science with a minor in Coaching and Management.  Heresides in Midland with his wife, Leann.
