Jake Strong is currently in his first year as a StudentAssistant to the SVSU Men’s Basketball Program.

Strong is in his first year as an undergraduate student at SVSUas well. He is majoring in Secondary Education History with aBiology minor.  Strong attended his first two years of schoolat Alpena Community College, where he was a captain of themen’s basketball team under Coach Frank McCourt as well as amember of the cross country team.  He earned AcademicAll-Eastern Conference and All-MCCAA honors in bothsports.  

Growing up in Alpena, Michigan, Strong graduated from AlpenaHigh School in 2011.  He plans to earn a bachelor’sdegree in Secondary Education upon graduation from SVSU in May of2016.
