Chinney McGee begins his first season at SVSU. McGee started histrack career at SVSU before moving on to Emporia State(Kan.) wherehe was a two-time C.S.I.C. champion in the 400 meters, winningAthlete of the Year honors. McGee began coaching at Atherton HighSchool where he led the boys team to its 1st winning record inschool history and a conference runner-up finish he moved on toFlint Southwestern and where he was the girls sprint coach. Duringhis two years he coached at Southwestern, he had an athlete goAll-State in the 100,200 and 400 meters including a State Championin the 400 meters and 800 relay. McGee also is the head coach ofthe Michigan All-Stars track club, where he coached 25All-Americans including 9 National champions, and had athletesbreak 5 National records.

McGee was named Saginaw Valley Conference coach of the year in2008 and was named AAU Indoor National coach of the year in 2007.McGee is a gradute of Flint Central..his daughter Dynasty holds theState record in the indoor 400 and triple jump and is the currentState Champion in the Division 1 400 meters...he also had two otherdaughters who have earned All-American honors, Summer andChina...Chinney has a wife named Tina.
