NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country All-Academic Team and Individual Award winners. Both the Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's cross country teams were awarded the team honor, while four members of the men's team and six from the woman earning individual recognition.
In order to qualify for the All-Academic Team distinction, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet.
The Cardinal men finished the Fall Semester with a team GPA of 3.4 to earn the award for the first time since 2021, while the women's team finished with a 3.49 team mark to return to the team award list after a one-year absence (earned it in 2023).
For the individual All-Academic award, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

This is the second All-Academic athlete honor in cross country for Lobodzinski, Suliman, and Picard (all three earned the award in 2023).
