Cardinal Men’s Cross Country Matches Program Best 6th-Place Finish at Championship Race
KENOSHA, Wis. — The Saginaw Valley State University men's cross country team matched the program's best result by achieving a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division II Championship 10K race on Saturday afternoon (last 6th-place finish was 2018). Corey Bowers and Nick McArdle finished inside the top 40 to earn All-America honors with their performances.
 
Bowers placed 26th with a personal best of 30:28.5 to earn an All-America distinction. McArdle followed in 32nd with his career-best time of 30:33.7, also achieving All-America honors.
 
Jacob Walker finished 59th with a PR of 31:02.4. Adam Thomas placed 85th and also recorded a PR with his finish of 31:27.4. Lobodzinski rounded out the Cardinal scorers in 98th with a time of 31:39.7, also a PR.
 
Dominic Suliman and Isaac Tanis completed the SVSU lineup. Suliman finished in 32:37.9, just ahead of Tanis at 32:40.1, who set a new PR for his career.
 
SEASON WRAP UP: The Cardinal men's team completes a season where they were ranked in the top-15 for the majority of the season, and reached as high as seventh before the top-six finish today. The team accumulated two All-America honors, five all-region selections, and five All-GLIAC athletes.
