HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team fell 5-2 to Michigan Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals (6-7, 0-3 GLIAC) grabbed two points in singles action and won one of the three doubles matchups in the losing effort to the Huskies (8-3, 1-0 GLIAC).
Anastasia Diamantopoulos won in number three doubles with partner Katie Lucke, 6-2. She also won her number four singles match (1-6, 7-6[2], 7-5) to earn won of the two points for SVSU in the match. Amelia Dickson was victorious at number two singles with a final score of 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
