ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team earned a 5-2 win over Sioux Falls in the final match of the team's Spring Break trip to Orlando on Thursday night. The Cardinals (5-5) earned their third win on the trip to finish 3-2 for the week.
The Cougars took the doubles point after pulling two tightly contested matches at number two and number three, winning both by a score of 7-6.
Nicoletta Diamantopoulos got the first point for SVSU with her win in the number one singles match, 6-3, 6-1. She also won the number one doubles contest with partner Fatimah Butt.
Anastasia Diamantopoulos, Fatimah Butt, Katie Lucke, and Natalie Schoenherr registered points with wins in their singles matches to seal the win for the Cardinals.
