MIDLAND, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 22 Wayne State in the team's GLIAC opening match on Thursday afternoon. The Cardinals (0-3, 0-1 GLIAC) prevented the shutout with a win in the number six singles matchup against the Warriors (2-1, 1-0 GLIAC).
Natalie Schoenherr defeated Rebecca Laynes, 6-1, 6-1, to record her first point this Spring for SVSU.
