ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team advanced to the GLIAC Championship with a 1–0 win over Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday afternoon at the GVSU Soccer Field.

The Cardinals (13–5–2) controlled the match from start to finish, earning their seventh shutout of the season to secure a spot in Sunday's title game.

After a scoreless first half, Rileigh Garbarz (Pinckney, Mich. / Father Gabriel Richard HS) scored the game's only goal in the 55th minute by chipping a cross from Kylie Cesarek (Macomb, Mich. / Dakota HS) over the Rangers keeper.
