2020-21

  • Played in all 17 matches
  • Helped SVSU to a 5-12 overall record and a 2-7 mark in GLIAC play
  • Earned the win at #2 singles and #2 doubles in 7-0 win over Ursuline
  • Teamed with Chelsea Dzenga to win at #2 doubles in 4-3 victory over Cornerstone

2019-20:

  • Posted an overall mark of 7-8 in singles play and a 6-10 record in doubles
  • Competed at #2 singles and #2 doubles
  • Named All-GLIAC Second Team

2018-19:

  • Posted an overall mark of 6-15 in singles play and an 8-13 doubles record
  • Competed at #2 singles and at the #1 and #1 doubles positions
  • Named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

2017-18:

  • Went 11-8 overall in singles and 15-7 in doubles action
  • In singles play, she went 11-7 in her main spot of #3, adding a 0-1 mark in #2 singles
  • Played mainly at #3 doubles going 9-4 while also going 6-3 from the #2 spot
  • Named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

  • Prepped at Northville High School under head coach Linda Jones
  • Participated at No. 2 singles senior year and No. 3 singles her freshman through junior seasons
  • Claimed the state championship at No. 3 singles her sophomore season
  • Was state runner-up at No. 3 singles her junior year, also making the state semifinals her freshman campaign
  • Won the regional title in her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons
  • Majoring in Athletic Training
  • Daughter of Mingwei Yao and John Gao
