UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University women's lacrosse players Briar-Rose Mackey and Mikaila Stone were named to the All-GLIAC honorable mention team on Friday evening when the award winners were announced by the conference office.
Mackey finished her debut season with the Cardinals as the team's leading goal scorer with 15, second-most on the team in points as well. She scored the game-winning goal against Northwood in a game where she scored on all four of her shots on goal to lead SVSU to its first win in program history.
Stone is the lacrosse program's first two-time All-GLIAC selection. She led the team in goal for the second season and finished her sophomore campaign with a league-leading 205 saves. She finished the year with a .444 save percentage and a team-best 52 ground balls.
