UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State University women's golf had two earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® honors. The two selected were Marissa GeRue and Christina Nagy.
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes student-athletes for their combined excellence in the classroom and competition. To qualify, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament, and hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Both finished among the top 50 golfers in the region this season. GeRue highlighted the group with one win and two top-three finishes. She averaged 78.5 over 30 rounds and compiled a 417-254-11 record in 2025-26. GeRue won the SVSU Spring Invitational on March 15 and placed second at the GLIAC Championships on April 19. She also set the program's 18-hole and 54-hole records at the SVSU Spring Invitational, shooting a final-round 68 (-4) and finishing with a three-round total of 224 (+8).
Nagy posted the lowest scoring average on the team at 77.9 across 32 rounds, finishing the year with a 548-195-15 record. Her top finish came at the DU Panther Invitational on October 12, where she placed fourth. Nagy also finished seventh at the SVSU Spring Invitational and recorded her best round of the season at the GLIAC Championships, shooting a 71 (-1) in the final round to move up eight spots on the leaderboard.
