FINDLAY, Ohio – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf program concluded competition at the NCAA Division II East Regional on Tuesday, May 5. The Cardinals posted their best round of the tournament with a 315 (+27) on the final day, moving past Northwood to finish 15th with a total of 986 (+122) at Findlay Country Club.
Christina Nagy led SVSU, tying for 18th with a three-round total of 236 (+20) after shooting a 76 (+4) in the final round. Andie Martin delivered the top performance of the day for the Cardinals, carding a personal-best 72 (E) in her final collegiate round. She climbed 28 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 21st with a total of 237 (+21).
Marissa GeRue shot a 78 (+6) in the final round, highlighted by a birdie on the final hole, to finish with a total of 250 (+34).
Alivia Ligrow posted an 89 (+17) in the final round to finish at 263 (+47). Averie Pumford returned to the lineup for round three and improved with an 89 (+17), finishing with a two-round total of 179 (+35).
Martin recorded four birdies and 10 pars in her final round and was the only Cardinal to shoot even or better on the day.
As a team, SVSU totaled 20 birdies, tying for the fourth-most in the field alongside Ferris State. Nagy and Martin each recorded seven birdies, tying for fourth overall individually.
Up Next: Saginaw Valley concludes its 2026 season with the NCAA East Regional appearance. The Cardinals earned back-to-back regional bids and will look to make it three straight in 2027.
