Women’s Golf Earns Back-to-Back Regional Selection

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf team has been selected for the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional, as announced by the NCAA on Sunday. A total of 72 teams and 24 individuals were selected across four regionals. The Cardinals earned a team bid and will compete alongside 17 other programs: Findlay, Grand Valley State, UIndy, Missouri-St. Louis, Ferris State, Ashland, Tiffin, Gannon, Lewis, McKendree, Maryville (Mo.), Davenport, Charleston (W.V.), Wayne State, Northwood, West Chester, and Adelphi.

SVSU head coach Mike Masten shared his thoughts on the selection:

"Qualifying for regionals is a goal we establish at the start of every season. Our student-athletes understand the dedication and hard work required throughout the year to reach this point, and earning this opportunity is a testament to their commitment. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished. Findlay Country Club is a course we know well and have enjoyed competing on, and we are confident the team will be prepared and ready for the challenge ahead."

The East Regional will take place at Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio, from Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6. The NCAA Division II Championships are scheduled for May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The Cardinals are making back-to-back regional appearances and this marks the fourth team appearance in program history.
